animated texture and the FPS

Postby disciplus59 » Tuesday, 10.July 2007, 15:51

I try to make an animated texture with the 032hscb.jpg node.

I used a rendertexture to do that.
Without the animated texture the scene work a 280 FPS but the FPS fall down to 50 with the animated texture. And it's only a cube.

Here is my scene
I've certainly used the false method.

thank's ;)

Here is how i would have done it, but there is actually no FPS increase.
To animate pink or blue Ops is always problematic and not recommendable.
Whenever possible use yellow Ops to animate. ;)

thank's a lot erbsen, now i understand how to use 044materialinput.jpg :D

In your example the 000channelani.jpg only affect the 032hscb.jpg and not the rotation of the cube. How you do that?

That's great ! =)

That's done by setting the "Channel" to 1 (up to 255), in both, the 000channelani.jpg and the 032hscb.jpg.

By the way, did you see Chaos' Workshop of .werkkzeug1 ? He's showing pretty useful stuff in it.
