As promised, here is my fire sim version for wz3.

thanks skinnytorus,

i tried 2 day´s ago by myself ( but i looked on wz4 how texture was created from you ;)

what i like is ( where the fire is started -> -> white-yellow color -- very hot :) that´s more realistic


my fire was more yellow, however.

my advice is to use colors in the particle system to actually color the fire particles rather than control brightness by shades of grey.
in texture 'merge' op set 'sub' as mix mode to shape the flames and experiment with perlin octaves and seed untill you get something like a fire tongue in the texture output.
