Ventuz - Präsentations-Software

Postby erbsen » Tuesday, 13.September 2005, 11:07

Hey guys,

I'm working for Ventuz and found this thread just surfing through the www. Comparing Ventuz to .wz1. is not appropriate, I think. The tools go in different directions and have different approaches. I’m not sure if you could produce such stunning demos in Ventuz. We have never really tried, since most of the time we caught in projects. Although I must say that the demos I have seen so far were very inspiring and cool stuff!!! Ventuz concept is a little different. It aims to produce interactive archives that allow control from the outside of the system and can also be controlled from other devices. There is a linear animation mode, but most of time we only use this for partial animation. The scenes are non-linear animated. The partial animations are to be seen as seamless fitting parts of one ore more general and non-linear animations. I have produced that free tutorial video. :o) It’s not really professionally done, I know, but I’m learning, and the next one will be better I hope. I’m planning on producing more free stuff to learn about Ventuz. I am always looking for input on what to explain and which topics to address. I think that the demo scene, although we get a lot of bullshit for working for companies like (I don’t even dare to write the M word here ;o) ), is not that far away. Same freakiness, same passion for real time rendered graphics. So please don’t rip me apart for posting here. It is not meant to be spam. If you have feedback on the video, I would appreciate a reply.

Thx
maik

Hi Ventuz

It was not really meant as comparison, more as an introduction.
All i know about Ventuz is that you can create cool stuff with it and that´s what we try to do. That´s the reason i mentioned Ventuz here.

Anyway, i would like to see in one of your next tutorials:
- how to create models (is it possible ? ),
- how to create textures and texture mapping,
- and of course how to animate something. ;)

Continue your work, it will help a lot of people, i guess.
