Yop
In the same spirit than the previous dissolve snippet, a custimized shader to achieve material transition :

Really cool! You also changed the shader reflection model!
I wish this could be done with ops without extra coding... Possible solution might be to use Aux, but it's a bit different...
Still trying

what do you mean ?

Yes maybe, but I think it is easiest with shader code :p, you have access to all map you want to mix (specular, normal, emissive...)

what do you mean ?
The initial material is not reflective (lambert) and the ice has reflections (phong).

It's always easier to code something if you know how to do that

yes, the initial material is not mixed with the phong, and the second yes (and normal map too)

I don't remmber how to drop particles on a surface, any idea ?

Using SPH is the first thing that comes to mind. As I can see, Colliders behave weird when the source of the particles is bigger than them...

Yeah! Cool stuff, man
. I wish that every cube could show different snow pattern...

good idea with sph, thanks.
yes I tried to random pattern of every cube, but they seems to use the same material instance...

By the way, Const can use instances, but I can't figure how to use that to any advantage...

I like that one. I would choose some other font though
You can as well create a realistic snow cover by using Marching Cubes. Metaball POWER!!!

Really cool effect! And name for demo - Frozen
PS. ikam can do snowflake with only one text operator

yes, symbols poweer. You can even make mesh with text3d
, try to copy past that : ☻ ☺
