I think I've figured another way to make pretty decent volumetric clouds.

Yeah... It took me some time and voodoo magic ;).
SpritesADF is all about tweaking and you've got to have a lot of patience to make it deliver...

Don't know if it is full possible yet, but maybe a sprite with a material as input, instead of bitmap, should be workable.
this mean it could react with modlights...

edit : look at Trails behavior, set it a square shape, put a material with an alpha and in zread, and it is the spriteMat proto...

Thanks. Good idea. I will try playing with that. However trails can't be randomly rotated and scaled... Anyways, ability to use material on Sprite input (or maybe a new ModMatSprite operator) might be a cool feature in any of the future releases.

Yeah... It's pretty close, thanks. I'm gonna try to find ways to spawn more clouds and retain their artistic value. SpritesADF has quite an appetite for resources... Need to find this happy middle ground between speed and quality.
