Here is how to create thickness (shell). Not a universal approach, but works pretty well for simple meshes.

Thanks, bro. Now I'm trying to figure how to quickly apply a different material to the interior surface. If only we could use a mesh as selection primitive, it would be a piece of cake (if used with ExtrudeNormal). On the other hand, there is the hard way through shading: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=1048
