Seems reasonable. But how will this play with scene lighting? Sprites are kinda limited in that regard...

Thanks, although it wasn´t my intention, it´s a leftover from .wz1.

Anyway, a very efficient one :)

i've made some test with a proto of fromvertex as I said to compare with chunks (yellow) and it is very slightly faster than with chunks so I don't think it so usefull, chunks is already optimized for speed and has all of options we said. I keep formvertex code in wait to find a real interest but for now I don't think to post it.

One thing could be nice is a LOD (level of detail) rendering operator : it take 2 mesh as input (low and high polygons), near from camera it render the high detailled and far it switch to the low detailled or maybe a rendertarget...
see what I can do...

hey, ikam.
You gonna laugh, but I have just noticed the LOD button right above the viewport next to the sound volume control. It looks like LOD is already implemented.
Have you played with it?

Edit: However I look, I can't get any result. There must be some trick to make LOD work...

yes don't see any differences, I'll take a look in code to see how it work

Good. Can't wait to see your findings.
