Understanding wz4 time options

Understanding wz4 time options

Postby Skinnytorus » Wednesday, 18.July 2012, 09:20

Hey guys,
I have been playing with Beat op recently and found that I need more clarity in understanding wz4 time options.
I have found this code and wanna discuss it with you.

ScriptSymbol *_Time; // time 0..1
ScriptSymbol *_BaseTime; // beat 0..oo
ScriptSymbol *_LocalTime; // beat locally after Clips

As I can see,
- BaseTime is the actual project time that is capped by project length.
- Time is a relative variable limited to 0..1 interval. (does it default to 16 bars/beats(edit)?..)
- LocalTime is the time interval limited by Clip length.

So, my questions are:
- Is BaseTime measured in bars/beats (edit) or anything else?
- Is LocalTime measured in bars/beats (edit) or anything else?
- What is the difference between Time and LocalTime if limited by Clip length?
- What is the difference between Time and LocalTime if NOT limited by Clip length?
- When should we use BaseTime, Time or LocalTime?

What do you think?
Thank you.
