Heal Op. Practical use?

Hi, All.
Has anybody tried to figure out what is Heal Op for?
My guess is that it should 'fix' a mesh according to the properties of the reference mesh stacked as the second input (Normals, Tangents, UVs).
The degree of such 'healing' should be controlled by the two last params.
So far I can not confirm any visible use of this Op. Maybe you can?

At last some visible results: stack the original mesh as 'reference input'.

the heal btn is used for bsp stuff in combination with explode stuff. i think it was just used one time in demo here. you may not need this op very often :)

Wow! Thanks for the info - really helpful.
If get it right, it is supposed to fix the mesh after BSP splitting?
