CPU Usage..

Postby carstenK » Wednesday, 13.December 2006, 15:13

I have noticed when working in .werkzeug1, that my cpu-usage pulls 100%.

I think its due to the constant high fps. Are there any option that allows to only run at, lets say as an example 80 fps ? instead of my current 150 fps.

Im sure it would lower the cpu usage a lot, but dont know if there is such an option.

Others may struggle the same as me or ??

Hello casten!

As far as i know theres no such option, but i haven't come across this problem so far.

Be sure that you have no floating windows running in front of wz1. (its coded in directx) - (flashget, antivir status bar or so), and be aware that wz1 does not run on dual monitor setups, only at the first logical monitor.

perhaps give it a lower priority in the windows xp processmanager?

Yeah i'm on a laptop too, but it stays calm at around 0-20 % cpuusage. Which gfxcard are you on?

Hi Flu0r..

Im on an Acer Aspire 5023. AMD Turion cpu @ 1.8 ghz with 1 gb memory.

Gfx is an ATII Radeon Mobility PCI-E x-600.

Hardware should be proper and fair enough for running it, but i try install .wkz on one of my home pc´s and see how they react on cpu, when i use .wkz.

I have x-mas vacation in a few days, so plenty of time testing it.

:)

Merry x-mas
