I can´t get particles to work.

Hi there,

I can´t get particles to work.
When i add a texture and hit play nothing happens.
Although i noticed that the framerate drops from 500 to 300 i can´t see anything.
Am i missing something?
Or is it the hardware? I own a ATI graphics card.
Or is it literally a "Transplant edition" in which only the operators are functional that are used in the transplant demo?

Hi,
The same thing here (Nvidia). It seems that you are right. I have not seen any 'official' confirmations that the tool is limited to the functions used in Transplant,
but the damn particles don't work for me either. It seems I tried any config possible to make them work, but to no avail. No sign of ANY particles emission - as if the operator doesn't do anything at all.
It's really sad not to be able to fully use such a fantastic (and free!) tool. :((( A glimmer of hope: anyone else tried to make the particles work? :)

Hi Skinnytorus,

At least i´m not the only one having this problem.
Hopefully you get a reply from a Brain Control member at pouet.net.

hi erbsen,

The forum at pouet.net doesn't look overcrowded and payne is perhaps busy making the tutorial videos he mentioned there.
I suggest we wait a little and see whether he comes up with the videos.

By the way, I also notised that Simple and Full WP operators also 'disabled' i.e. you are able to animate things with the splines created by stacking several WP operators (according to their 'destination') over the Path Op.
The other thing about Animation that TShader WP thing. As I understand it, it provides some sort of 'wiggle' expression often used in AE. The script language used in TShader is simple, but shurely needs more info on how it works.
Have you digged into it yet?

Hi Skinnytorus,

Agreed, lets wait until he comes up with the videos.
I just took a brief view into animation and the code of the TShader looks fairly simple.
I guess i´m playing with that when some kind of tutorial is released.

hi, erbsen!
Payne said the particles op is broken in the released version (it makes me think we have a full release!). A fixed version of the tool and the tutorials are coming! This is a very good news!!!

Now I wonder if 'link edit' is implemented in Enigma in some form...?

Hi hunta,

Thanks, works like a charm.
I think bouncing particles would be a good idea - Maybe in V4.
