yes its still in progress. but its still a very early progress state... the fr70 will be using this engine.

Guys... That is all well and good, but I don't think wz5 will be released within the next couple of years. So far we should keep exploring and expanding the features wz4 has to offer. On the other hand I don't know what fr guys think of releasing wz5 at all. I would be happy if reEto could shed some light on wz5's features and its future. At least something to drool over... )

It's a great, I hope wz5 will be nice. don't know if they release it for public or like wz4 share sources.

But when I start learn WZ1, FB guys start do demos on WZ3 and when they release WZ3 Texture edition, I finish to play with WZ1, try to learn demotool from Conspiracy. Some of my friends go to Plasticator (Russian demotool) and after few years we get WZ4 source. Without programming knowledge it was bad situation. So many thanks to this forum and people who work on WZ4 and made it public ExEcutable release! Hope WZ5 will be in our hands too.

Yep... This seems to be user's lot in life - to be a couple of steps behind a programmer. Demoscene has always been known for its riding the wave of technology. But even with wz4 rather dated toolset we still are able to do quite a lot of things missing or impossible in other software... and all that in real time!

thanx for so much response... the wz5 engine is still in development. today you cant use it without coding skillz. i dont know if this will be public. about this i cant do any statements. its to early. no beta, nor demos ready till now.. tooo early for a real prediction.

the new engine will blow your mind, also to dis catastrophical state. if there are interesting nfos about i would like to post it here.
and yes btw i did not see any demos created with the wz4 that raises the edges to the engine nearly.... but for all keep on trying.

the fr70-storm will use the new engine... visualice did a mistake by getting the nr 70 for one of his prods so stay cool, wz ist still in a messy state (as always)
